Day 28

Day Twenty Eight. 366 Project. Picture # 28. "The Church at Theon". This is the  Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Corn Hill in Theon, Texas. http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/hnt17 . This beautiful and amazingly well maintained church was built in 1913. The church serves the Corn Hill, Theon and surrounding communities. http://holytrinityofcornhill.org/contact.php . Dennis Rust a friend of mine suggested this church scene as a possible picture for the 366 project. His first up close contact with the town of Theon and its church was through his participation in the annual "Red Poppy Ride". The ride route passes by the church, http://www.redpoppyride.org/assets/mapUploads/RedPoppywithdetour.jpg . It was a very nice winter day but the bright sky made for very high contrast shots. This picture is a combination of three different exposures into one picture, (high dynamic range, HDR). This technique mimics the eyes ability to see a scene in it's entirety regardless of the extreme variations in lighting. Canon Rebel XTI on tripod. Canon 18-55mm lens. Focal length 18mm. f/22. ISO 400. Multiple exposures 1/160, 1/200, 1/250, second.
