Day 15

Day Fifteen. 366 Project. Picture # 15. 'Untitled" There is a greenbelt that weaves through the Jollyville area of Austin. It is named the Spicewood Valley Trail. http://www.austinexplorer.com/Locations/ShowLocation.aspx?LocationID=1887  It is surrounded by houses, businesses, schools and a golf course. Even in times of drought there is always water in areas of the creek due to small springs and ground water seeps. The wildlife that I have personally seen in the greenbelt and surrounding area run the gamut from deer, coyotes, foxes, skunks to coral snakes. It is a very diverse ecological area. There are hidden gems like this scene if you are willing to brave the cedar thickets and the brambles and leave the beaten path. Both of my arms are sporting scratches from today's trip. Remember to tread lightly and be careful about damaging sensitive areas. Canon Rebel XTI on tripod. Canon 18-55mm lens. Focal length 37mm. f/22. ISO 800. Exposure 1/100 second.
