Day Nineteen. 366 Project. Picture # 19. "Business End of Tank". My day job ( http://customcreation.com/ ) sent me out to Camp Mabry the National Guard base in Austin, Texas. http://www.texasmilitaryforcesmuseum.org/mabry.htm . It was a follow up call checking details on some exhibit work we had built and installed at the Texas Armed Forces Museum ( http://texasmilitaryforcesmuseum.org/ ) This is a great museum packed full of historic military gear most of which is still in operating order. The public is welcome but you must check in at the gate. Outside the museum is an impressive collection of artillery and tanks. My work day was complete when I finished my company tasks, so I asked if it would be alright to take some pictures of the tanks outside. The curator told be it would be fine as long as I did not take pictures of any of the buildings. That is against base rules. So my camera and I spent some quality time with a variety of very large intimidating pieces of equipment. The lighting was horrible. Really bright sunlight and intense shadows. Canon Rebel XTI on tripod. Canon 28-135mm lens. Focal length 28mm. f/14. ISO 400. 1/125 second. Any additional questions please contact me at jaybaum23@yahoo.com .
