Day Sixty Seven. March 7. Picture # 67. "Busy Bee". The mountain laurel is in full bloom right now in the Hill Country. Every bush has its own collection of pollinators with honey bees being the most common. This little guy seemed to be the most focused bee of the bunch. He would land on a new clump of flowers and would investigate each flower before flying to a new spot. He was the easiest to try to shoot because unlike the other bees, this one was not flying all around the bush. He seemed content to methodically work a small area of the mountain laurel. Canon Rebel XTI handheld, Canon 75-300mm lens. Focal length 300mm. f/10. ISO 1600. Exposure 1/400 second.
Gorgeous! A crowd pleaser for sure!
