Day Sixty One. March 1. Picture # 61. This female sparrow has built a nest in a small space under our loading dock roof. She and her mate stay busy coming and going with bits of food for their very loud but otherwise unseen chicks. The shooting is tricky because up under the roof it is heavy shadows contrasted with the bright sky. Adding to the equation is the birds always seem to fly away just when I am happy with the composition and focus. Canon Rebel XTI handheld. Canon 75-300mm zoom lens. Focal length 300mm. ISO 800. Exposure 1/200 second.
